LAKE LANIER AND LAKE HARTWELL
Bass fishing on Lake Lanier and Lake Hartwell offers some of the best freshwater angling in the Southeast, with both lakes known for their healthy populations of spotted and largemouth bass. Lake Lanier, located in northern Georgia, is especially famous for its trophy-sized spotted bass, which thrive in its deep, clear waters and rocky structure. In contrast, Lake Hartwell, straddling the Georgia-South Carolina border, provides more diverse bass fishing with a mix of largemouth, spotted, and even striped bass, thanks to its varied cover, including submerged timber and creek channels.

CHOOSE YOUR LAKE
Lake Lanier is ideal for anglers seeking trophy spotted bass and striped bass, with deeper waters and easy access near Atlanta. Lake Hartwell, on the other hand, offers a quieter, more scenic fishing experience with excellent populations of largemouth bass and crappie.
